THE RAMONA FLOWERS Announce New Album & Fall Tour – 9/24 at Rebel Lounge with THE HEAVY
THE RAMONA FLOWERS ANNOUNCE ALBUM DETAILS; FALL TOUR
9/24 SHOW AT THE REBEL LOUNGE WITH THE HEAVY
The Ramona Flowers are happy to announce their stateside live debut supporting The Heavy this fall. The UK-based, 5-piece are just off several support dates to The Stereophonics abroad as well as recent festivals, The Great Escape and Smoked and Uncut.
Part Time Spies, the band’s sophomore album is out September 9th via Distiller Records. It is a record surging with human warmth, with songs regarding the things that make life tick: death, rising rents, narcissism, broken relationships, selfies, the end of privacy, drunken nights out and hung over mornings in.
The band have revealed two album tracks to-date, the swaggering, Skies Turn Gold as well as Dirty World, a synth-infused, 80s inspired romp featuring a visually charged video. Check out the video here.
Filmed in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the “Dirty World” video features the character Skullman who quite uniquely has a mirror ball head, representing the big money world he engages in. Thru the course of the video we see this also signifies the dark and deadly effect of the crazed pursuit of money and power.
Part Time Spies was recorded in late 2015 at The Distillery Studios in Bath. The band co-produced alongside Friendly Fires and Passion Pit collaborator Chris Zane.
The Ramona Flowers are: Steve Bird (vocals), Sam James (guitar), Wayne Jones (bass), Dave Betts (keyboards, guitar) and Ed Gallimore (drums).
Part Time Spies is out September 9, 2016. Pre-order the album now and get Skies Turn Gold and Dirty World as instant downloads.◂ Back To News
