SUPERSUCKERS
SUPERSUCKERS
You’ve heard our name, you’ve seen our records, our t-shirts and our stickers. We’re probably the favorite band of someone you know and yet maybe we’re still a mystery to you. Well my friend, that’s okay, you’re at the right place to get to know the greatest rock-n-roll band in the world, The Supersuckers.

The brand new album, “Holdin’ the Bag”, offers a compelling blend of brawny badassery and sensitive songcraft on such memorable originals as the high-lonesome title track, which kicks the album off on a deceptively spooky note. You also get the rousingly twangy anthems “High and Outside,” “Man on a Mission” and “Jibber-Jabber.” Then the album closes on a thoughtful note, with an update of the Hank Williams Jr. standard “All My Rowdy Friends (Have Settled Down),” with updated lyrics that refer to such Supersuckers contemporaries as Steve Earle and Lemmy Kilminster of Motorhead. (The album sessions also yielded a second cover tune, a spirited reading of the Billy Joe Shaver classic “Georgia on a Fast Train,” which will be included as a bonus track on Holdin the Bag’s vinyl edition.)

The Supersuckers — Eddie on vocals and bass, plus guitarist Marty Chandler and drummer Chris Von Streicher — recorded Holdin’ the Bag in Austin, TX, at Ray Benson’s esteemed Bismeaux Studios. They were joined by such kindred spirits as outlaw singer-songwriter Hayes Carll, who’s featured on the rollicking hard-luck tale “This Life Would Be a Whole Lot Better,” and acclaimed alt-country songstress Lydia Loveless, who adds her distinctive voice to the bittersweet “I Can’t Cry.” Also lending their talents are Asleep at the Wheel fiddler Jason Roberts, Butthole Surfers member Jeff Pinkus, noted neo-honky-tonker Jesse Dayton and Willie Nelson’s longtime harmonica sidekick Mickey Raphael.
HENCHMEN
HENCHMEN
Henchmen have never really done anything the “conventional” way. The Los Angeles-based band formulated their own brand of hard hitting rock n' roll years ago, while others were rehashing styles that had already been done, and went on to create a raw pure sound that can only be described as kick ass rock n' roll.

In 2005 they released a 6 song EP titled "Dead Or Alive", and headed out on their first US Tour as direct support for Nekromantix. This tour instantly won them a great new national fanbase. It was followed up in 2006 by the "Hollywood Monsters" European tour that also featured Rezurex. The highlight of the tour was a great performance at the 19th Satanic Stomp in Speyer, Germany which was headlined by the Reverend Horton Heat & Nekromantix. 2007 saw the release of their self titled album on Loaded Bomb Records, which received a great response and has gone through many pressings to date, the album also helped them get signed to the veteran punk label S.O.S Records who also released the same record with alternate artwork done by former AFI, Tiger Army bassist Geoff Kresge. The following years brought along many releases on various compilations and dvd's, a well as hundreds of tour dates throughout the US, Canada & Mexico, where they played with a long list of bands including psychobilly legends The Meteors, Demented Are Go, Mad Sin, The Peacocks, Starlight Wranglers, and many, many more.

Their unique crossover style has helped them avoid being pigeonholed into any one specific genre, a feat that allows them to share the stage and hold their own with many well known psychobilly / punk / hard rock acts such as, The Reverend Horton Heat, Supersuckers, The Adicts, Swingin' Utters, Manic Hispanic, Throw Rag, Death By Stereo, The Dickies, CJ Ramone, CH3, Citizen Fish, 45 Grave, Revolution Mother, and a whole lot more. In 2011, "Trouble Surrounds You" was released on 1981 Records, to an overwhelming positive response, that once again proved the point that the bands musical style will never be pinned down to one particular genre.

But rather than taking time to revel, they prefer to focus their attention on the future, by always pushing the limits of their musical boundaries. They are currently working on new material for their next album, as well as a couple of limited edition split 7" vinyl EP releases. Being the hard working band that they are, you can be assured of many more tour dates to come, because playing live is their passion, and a live Henchmen show is one that you definitely do not want to miss. High energy, and hard hitting, just like their music.
