SKATING POLLY
SKATING POLLY
After spending 2017 touring North America, the UK, and Europe, Skating Polly entered the studio with producer Brad Wood (Smashing Pumpkins, Liz Phair) to record their fifth studio LP, The Make It All Show – released on May 4th via El Camino Media. That same month the band hit the road with Charly Bliss before embarking on a summer headline run in with Potty Mouth. The trio is also confirmed for this year’s Bumbershoot Festival – playing alongside Fleet Foxes, SZA, and Portugal. The Man among a slew of other incredible artists.
Kelli Mayo and Peyton Bighorse originally formed the band in Oklahoma in 2009 when Mayo's father and Bighorse's mother began dating, the duo then started writing music on instruments inherited from their parents. Skating Polly recorded their debut album Taking Over The World in 2010 and instantly achieved acclaim from underground music icons like X's Exene Cervenka (who produced 2013's Lost Wonderfuls) and Beat Happening's Calvin Johnson (who produced 2014's Fuzz Steliacoom). After the release of 2016's The Big Fit, the group realized another one of their musical dreams when Veruca Salt's co-frontwomen Louise Post and Nina Gordon reached out to work with the band, resulting in the release of last year’s critically-acclaimed New Trick EP. Mayo and Bighorse’s brother Kurtis Mayo officially joined the band shortly there-after, making his album debut on The Make It All Show.
POTTY MOUTH
POTTY MOUTH
Potty Mouth are Los Angeles-based trio Abby Weems (guitar, lead vocals), Ally Einbinder (bass) and Victoria Mandanas (drums). Originating in 2011 from Northampton, Massachusetts, Potty Mouth emerged from a casual, "why not?" attitude when Einbinder, who met Mandanas at Smith College, set out to form a band with like-minded women who shared her interest in learning and growing together as musicians. Though no singer was chosen at the time of formation, Weems emerged as having a knack for melodies and lyric writing, and what started out as a casual pastime turned into a way of life; recording, making t-shirts, and planning tours soon came in natural succession.

In August 2015, the band released a five-song self-titled EP under their own imprint, Planet Whatever Records. Produced by John Goodmanson (Sleater-Kinney, Blonde Redhead, Bikini Kill) at London Bridge Studios in Seattle, the EP showed off a new level of both songwriting and production for the trio. Singer-guitarist Abby Weems weaves sarcasm and melancholia throughout each track, supported by Victoria Madanas' drum-crushing progression and bassist Ally Einbinder's kick-down-the-door, solid foundation. The crisper direction emphasizes the work the triad has put in since their 2013 album “Hell Bent,” with more vocal harmonies and bigger production, recalling the sounds of influences like Veruca Salt and Nirvana.

From 2016-2017, Potty Mouth has toured and shared the stage with CHVRCHES, Against Me!, Bayside, and Taking Back Sunday. Their tour with CHVRCHES included a sold-out show at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. They have also played some of the country's biggest festivals, including Lollapalooza and Riot Fest.

Their latest single ‘Smash Hit’ is available HERE and was featured on Last Call with Carson Daly.
