MOTIVE: One of AZ's longest standing new wave of Thrash outfits with roots spanning back over a decade. Walking a fine line between retro and current while introducing their special brand of musical violence to a young new "hip" scene.
He Who Binds Himself is a Phoenix, Arizona based Death Metal band specializing in memorable songs with a focus on capturing the listener. The imagery and delivery is a "working man's metal" for those who need to depart from this reality, if even just for fleeting moments.

The group is dedicated to keeping the metal as heavy as possible without sacrificing the enjoyment of the audience. HWBH is not afraid to venture into disturbing subject matter, and tend to focus on the horrors of everyday atrocity as a platform for lyrical content.

HWBH has had the good fortune of sharing the stage with many local and national acts to date. Having played multiple venues, the band is very professional and comfortable in the live forum.

HWBH prides itself on the different influences each member brings to the fold, and the music translates as a perfect amalgamation of the sum of its working parts.

He Who Binds Himself could be likened to a modern Deicide resonating with tones of Slayer structured into a very methodical rhythm. Fans of any classic death/thrash/black metal or modern Death Metal will find qualities that capture their sonic pallet in HWBH. With the maturity of the members’ dedication to metal, most metal from the 80's through current date is impactful and somehow influential to each member. Band favorites include, but aren't limited to: Deicide, Morbid Angel, Gorefest, Slayer, Metallica, Megadeth, Lamb of God, Black Sabbath, Pantera, Ozzy, Katatonia, Opeth, Amon Amarth, Mortician, Pyogenesis, Vital Remains, Iced Earth, Pyrexia, Gore Rotted, etc…

He Who Binds Himself has recorded a comprehensive demo capturing all of the most current material in a well produced, multi-layered digital format. All of the recorded material is very cleanly produced and has a vicious attack that will leave the listener headbanging and longing for another dose.

The band looks forward to taking its infectious death metal to all available venues in the Phoenix/Central Arizona, Las Vegas, Texas, New Mexico and California markets in the form of concentrated touring and are dedicated to playing the Southwestern Festivals in said markets.
From the desert of Arizona hails the Death metal band Excessive Bleeding. E.B. started in the scene in 1993 and in 1994 were playing with the likes of Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel, Monstrosity, Deicide, Suffocation, Dying Fetus, Malevolent Creation, Six Feet Under, King Diamond, Gorguts and more throughout the 90's along with getting to share the stage and one of their songs with the mighty James Murphy at their CD release show in 2000.

E.B. put out "Spawned By Rage" in 1997 and were signed to local independent label Darque Records in '98. They recorded the "Lunatics Vision" CD in 1999. ( S.O.D. Magazine... 9 out of 10 skulls- "Forever Sleep aims at becoming the Stairway to Heaven of Death Metal !!").

Excessive Bleeding is back and looking forward to playing the old songs and are feverishly chomping at the bit to spill their latest music to the masses.

***Unfortunately, after playing live for years under the Lunatics Vision banner and not too long after hanging out with him at one of their shows, their long time brother, friend and former E.B. drummer Jason Kennedy passed away from illness.***
