MAKE IT LOUD is a new live panel discussion series on how to make it as a new artist in today’s music industry. Hosted by Stephen Chilton and Jeff Taylor of Psyko Steve Presents, MAKE IT LOUD is a monthly series of talks with a curated lineup of special guests. The guests include industry figures in Arizona’s music business, as well as established musicians on a wide range of topics aimed at helping new artists learn how to navigate an ever changing music industry.

The second talk in the MAKE IT LOUD series, titled “A Discussion On Audio Recording,” will be a conversation with some of the Valley's most respected producers and engineers. We will discuss tips for recording, the current state of audio production, and more.

Chilton and Taylor will be joined by guests Bob Hoag, Cory Spotts and Catherine Vericolli.

BOB HOAG (of Flying Blanket Recording)
Bob Hoag is a record producer, engineer and musician. His home base is Flying Blanket Recording studios in Mesa, AZ. Hoag has also written songs for The Go Reflex and Pollen, and performed with other artists such as The Ataris, The Love Me Nots, Gospel Claws and more.
CORY SPOTTS (of BLUElight Audio Recording)
Producer / engineer / mixer Cory Spotts has worked on hundreds of recordings since 2003, including releases for artists as diverse as Job For A Cowboy, Bless the Fall, The Maine, Lydia, and many others. Cory currently owns and operates BLUElight Audio Media, his personal studio in Phoenix, AZ. He is also an adjunct faculty member at Scottsdale Community College, where he has taught courses including Digital Audio Workstation and Studio Recording.
CATHERINE VERICOLLI (of Fivethirteen Recording Studios)
Catherine Vericolli is the owner of Fivethirteen Recording Studios in Phoenix, AZ. She is an engineer and a manager at the studio, and also writes for various pro audio publications, and teaches classes at The Conservatory Of Recording Arts and Sciences.
